In Magnesium Chelate 5 Complex, the highest amount is of chelatedmagnesium in the form of bisglycinate, which is considered to ensure maximum absorption and bioavailability among all forms of magnesium.
This chelated and organic form of magnesium is absorbed in different parts of the digestive system, is quickly resorbed in the body, and is considered a highly effective form of magnesium. Amino acid chelates are forms commonly found in natural plant sources. The human body can absorb them very efficiently through specialized metabolic pathways.
Magnesium bisglycinate Chelated magnesium that ensures maximum absorption. Organic magnesium bisglycinate is considered to have the highest bioavailability compared to other forms of magnesium, but without a laxative effect because glycine actively transports through the intestinal wall.
Magnesium citrate This also chelated form of magnesium shows good solubility in water, very good absorption, and excellent bioavailability. Magnesium in the form of citrate is an organic form of magnesium that is significantly better utilized in the body. It also helps with chronic constipation.
Magnesium carbonate The carbonate form has a moderate amount of elemental magnesium and good bioavailability. It is a good source of magnesium for individuals with poor digestion and acid reflux issues.
Magnesium malate An organic form of magnesium with good bioavailability that is effective in helping with chronic fatigue syndrome. It reduces the likelihood of muscle cramps, contributes to normal nerve function, and normal psychological function.

Result: 80 women participated in the study. 41 women were assigned to the group receiving magnesium bisglycinate chelate, and 39 women were assigned to the placebo group. The average number of leg cramps before treatment was 5.4 and 4.2 times per week in the treatment group and placebo group, respectively. The mean score of leg cramp pain before treatment, assessed using a 100 mm visual analog scale, was 63.7 and 68.5 in the treatment group and placebo group, respectively.

In this Chinese population, low calcium/magnesium intake ratios were associated with increased risks of overall mortality for both women and men. Consistent with our hypothesis, the calcium/magnesium intake ratio significantly modified the association of calcium and magnesium intake with mortality risk, while no significant interactions were found between calcium and magnesium in relation to the outcome.
